Access Codes/Instructions
We’ll provide you with an access code in your check-in instructions message before your arrival. This will allow you to check yourself into the property.
Upon arrival, use the code 0527# on the metal gate keypad to open it and proceed to pull in to the driveway or park on the street.
Once in, there is a lockbox to the left of the wooden gate that has your door and metal gate clicker. The code is 0527. Proceed to the double doors past the outdoor dining area to enter the casita.
Please check your messages in the app where you made your reservation (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.) and make sure you find the code in your check-in instruction message.

Check-in Time
Your check-in time is 3 pm. We can sometimes arrange an early check-in, so please contact us if you plan to arrive early and we'll do our best to accommodate you (we can’t promise, unfortunately).
If you are arriving early, have a look at the “local area guide” section. We've listed lots of things you can do around the area while you’re waiting to check in.

Arrival Time
Please let us know what your approximate check-in time will be. We often have a check-out the morning of your arrival, so it is helpful if our cleaning team knows if you'll be arriving right at 3pm or if you'll be later so they can manage their time in our home.

Grocery Stores Nearby
Many of our guests ask about grocery stores nearby, so in case you’re looking to buy some groceries, here are some suggestions. The largest grocery chain is HEB and there are many in the area, however, the one at 516 Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78204 is the closest and biggest. It opens at 7AM and closes at !0PM. They deliver - just call (210) 444-1879 or visit South Flores Market H-E-B
There is a Trader Joe's located at 350 East Basse Road, San Antonio, TX 78209 which is near Whole Foods too, but the HEB is the closest and most reasonably priced choice for you. Let us know if you need any other recommendations during your stay.

The Neighborhood
Get ready to step back in time! Your stay is in the charming King William District, a historic neighborhood filled with beautiful 19th-century homes turned into cozy cafes, art galleries, and trendy shops. As the state's first historic district, it continues to be a sought-after destination for visitors and locals alike.
Our neighborhood is a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern convenience. While Claudia Street itself might not have a plethora of shops and restaurants, being in the heart of the King William District puts you within a short walk or drive away from popular spots.
No car? No problem! Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are widely available in San Antonio and can be a convenient way to get around, especially if you're traveling a bit further. For us locals, walking is the easiest way to explore the district, but numerous public and private transportation options exist, as well. B Cycle, the city's rent-by-the-hour bicycle service, has several locations in the neighborhood, and Uber is the area's favorite car hire operation, providing easy and inexpensive ways to reach every corner of the city. Via, the city's bus service, has stops all along St Mary's Street, just a half-block from the house, providing access to downtown, the big-box stores of SE Military Drive and the entire service area in San Antonio.

Suggestions if You Arrive Early
If you arrive before check-in, don’t worry - there’s lots to do! Practically speaking, why not visit the grocery store and do a small shop? That will give you more time to relax once you've checked in! There are also a few good restaurants for lunch, so you could relax and enjoy some of the local food!
Enjoy King William District's charming boutiques and antique shops. Further along, the Rivercenter, a large shopping mall has popular chains and local boutiques that may pique your interest. While prices can vary, San Antonio offers a good mix of affordable and upscale dining and shopping options.
If you arrive early, you can always check with us and ask about dropping off your luggage while our cleaner is getting the home prepared for you. You can even consider joining a guided walking tour to learn more about the history and culture of the King William District and San Antonio!
